316 Sports Ambassadors Program
316-Sports Ambassador Description
“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:20
Overview
Our sports ministry reaches hundreds of families each season—and about 40% of them have no church home. A recent outreach effort included 60 home visits to unchurched families, and the reception was overwhelmingly positive.
To continue building on that momentum, we are launching the 316-Sports Ambassador Program—a team of caring individuals who will be intentionally present at each sports division throughout the season.
Our goal is to place one Ambassador or husband/wife team per division:
Total Goal: ~20 Ambassadors
Role & Responsibilities
Serve 90 minutes per week for 8–9 weeks in your assigned division.
Build relationships with families by greeting them weekly, offering to pray with them, and taking time to learn their names and stories.
Receive a list twice per month of families in your time slot who indicated they do not currently attend church.
Use provided information (names of children, possible school, etc.) to personalize your interactions.
Wear your official AMBASSADOR T-shirt so 316 families recognize you as a spiritual resource.
Be the hands and feet of Jesus to your assigned sports community.
Note: Your assigned division can be one your child or grandchild plays in.
Season Dates
Special Events:
Salvation Saturday: Next-to-last week of the season.
Baptism Sunday: Final week of the season for any who wish to take that step.
Your presence during these events will be especially impactful as you will already have built meaningful relationships.
