  • 316 Sports Crusaders Information


  • The team’s name is “316-Sports Crusaders,” and the colors are Kelly Green, Royal, Gray, and White.
  • Young men in 5th and 6th grade ages 10-12 and cannot be 13 until after 8/31/24
  • Cost $279 before July 1. $329 after July 1. $379 after August 1
  • Our Team will consist of MCA Students and any young men who attend a school that does not have a team in said league. Ex. Piedmont MS and Union Prep
  • No Homeschoolers can participate.
  • The Head Coach is Brett McWherter, and the assistant coaches are Marco Belluz and Mason Montgomery.
  • Our League consists of 10 other teams besides us: East Union, Weddington, SV, PRMS, Cuthbertson, UA, Holy Trinity, Monroe, Parkwood, and Marvin Ridge.
  • The team's first practice will be Saturday, June 16th, at 9 am, location FBCIT. Also, we will practice the weeks of June 22nd and June 29th 
  • July will begin Mandatory Practice, with the expectation that when you are in town, you will practice and participate unless injured or sick.
  • July 1, 2, and the 6th at Stallings Elementary School: 6:00 -7:30 pm or otherwise informed. 
  • The equipment handout will be on July 8th at 9:00 AM July 8, 9,11, 13, first whole week 6-7:30 pm at Stallings Elementary School Field.
  • Helmets, shoulder pads, and shorts for this week and next.  July 15, 16, 18, Full Pads live drills begin at 6:30-8 p.m.
  • There are only 14 days of live pads before the start of the season. July 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27.
  • Aug. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 Game Day and weigh in! Season Schedule Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday practice and Saturday Game Day
  • August 10: Scrimmage and weigh-in for all players a team plans to run or receive the ball in the Fall Season. No player who misses this weigh-in can carry the ball on offense.   
  • All games are on Saturdays, beginning on August 17th
